Classic Car Cruise, Doo-Wop Concert and Summer Bash Highlight “Sweeping” Changes in San Pedro

What: Hot Pedro Nights is a two night community party designed to honor and raise money for Clean San Pedro, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to cleaning and refurbishing the city through volunteer and paid clean-up efforts.

When: Friday and Saturday, July 18 – 19, 2008

Why: Started by a group of life-long San Pedro residents, Clean San Pedro, Inc,. works to stem the declining conditions of the downtown area. With monthly and weekly efforts, the organization is restoring the home of the Port of Los Angeles to its American Graffiti-style vibrancy. The events will raise money to pay for trash collecting, steam cleaning, various cleaning and restoration supplies and the addition of new, more ambitious renewal projects (more)
